Guru Nanak College(co_education) was started with the support of local management committee Shri Kandh Sahib in 1971. In starting it was just an Arts college but in 1982 on the demand of students and people science courses were introduced in 1982.almost from last 40 years this college is surviving the people and students of this Area.This college is also providing moral education ,good character building knowledge with in their course study so that the student of this college can be self dependent and serve the country.College building is equipped with the modern facilities like Library , Sports Club ,Playground ,Physics lab, chemistry Lab , Botany Lab, WiFi Computer Lab and Girls Common Room etc. This college had achieved a great success in the field of sports , Education as well as Cultural Activities.
In 2004 S.G.P.C Amritsar took this college under its Management. Now this college is running under the management of S.G.P.C. It was great honour for this college that S.G.P.C started Guru Nanak Collegiate senior secondary school from session 2005-06. Within time new corses were started. Now B.A , B.C.A , B.Sc(Med), B.Sc(Non Med) B.Sc(Comp Sci) ,B.Sc(Economics), B.Sc(IT), P.G.D.C.A and Diploma in Stiching and Tailoring. Soon master level courses M.A and M.Sc(IT) will be provided to the students.
